Itinerary

1st  day   (D)  - Florence
Meeting with our tour guide in Florence's airport  and accommodation in hotel.  Afternoon dedicated to visit  Florence. Meeting with the Guide and visit of the city: Piazza della Signoria, the church of Santa Maria Novella, the Cathedral and its Dome, il Campanile di Giotto,  the Michelangelo's  Pietà,  Ponte Vecchio, Pitti Palace and  Lungarni.  


2nd  day   (BB/L/D) - La  "Via Chiantigiana" 
After breakfast  full day spent  to visit  "Via Chiantigiana" spectacular footpath through vineyards, hills, villages, pieve and castles. It starts from Greve in Chianti, as always, for its location, an important commercial centre with its square:  Piazza Matteotti with the characteristic triangular shape. Panzano with Pieve Leolino, one of the most beautiful Romanesque churches throughout  Chianti. Radda in Chianti, ancient capital of the Chianti League.  Gaiole in Chianti a  characteristic village. Here a visit to Castello di Brolio, of Ricasoli family, with its beautiful Italian gardens. An excellent Chianti wine tasting at the wine cellar of the Castle. In Castellina in Chianti  was established the Consorzio del Chianti Classico in 1924. Accommodation in hotel  in the surroundings of Siena.


3rd  day  (BB/D)  - Siena
After breakfast meeting with the Guide and visit of the city of the Palio, magnificently surrounded by its walls: the Church of San Domenico with the venerated relics of Santa Caterina, mistress of Italy and Europe, the splendid palazzo del Monte dei Paschi di Siena, the oldest banking institution in Europe, Piazza del Campo, where the Palio is held , the famous horse race, Palazzo Chigi-Saracini and  the splendid Duomo.


4th  day  (BB/L/D) - Le "Crete senesi"
All day excursion in "Crete senesi".  Montalcino : the ancient town hall with its XIII - XV century loggia, the striking stronghold, designed in 1361, the Cathedral, which, built between 1818 and 1832, is a great sample of neoclassic. San Quirico d'Orcia  with its Romanesque-style Collegiata Church, whose walls of Etruscan origins are characterized by 14 towers. Bagno Vignoni well known for its thermal waters, where a 52° hot spring is still operational in the central square. Pienza, whose name means "Pius's city" : no doubt, of the designs that Piccolomini thought of after becoming Pope, the design of "his city"  was the only one to be completed. Visito f a local cheese factory "pecorino di Pienza". Guided visito of Montepulciano, the town of Poliziano, a cradle of monuments of the XV and XVI centuries, among which the Church of Saint Agostino, the Town Hall which stands high in the main square, the Contucci Palace, the Cathedral and the Church of Saint Biagio, a masterpiece of Antonio da Sangallo the Old, just a bit outside the walls of Montepulciano. Stop by a wine cellar and tasting of the vintage wines of the area. Accommodation  in hotel at Florence.


5th  day  (BB) - Florence
All morning is spent  in free activity like shopping  or  visit  ( optional) at Museo degli Uffizi.
In the afternoon transfer to the aeroport  in Florence. End of the tour.
