Itinerary

1st  day   (D)  - Rome
Arrival in Rome and transfer to the hotel .  Guided tour of Rome (3 hours). Rest of the day free. Typical dinner at the hotel with traditional staple of local cooking.


2nd  day  (BB)  - Rome
In the morning visit of the Vatican State and the Vatican Museums, including the Sistine Chapel. Rest of time at leisure.


3rd  day  (BB/D)  - Rome
Guided tour of the Roman town: the Pantheon, the Colosseum, the "Fori Imperiali", the underground ruins of the Domus Aurea, the palace of the Emperor Nerone. Rest of time at leisure. In the evening, dinner outside Rome in a beautiful XVII century villa.


4th  day  (BB/L)- Siena/Florence
Early departure to Florence by bus. On the way to Florence, stop in Siena for a sightseeing tour of the town magnificently surrounded by its walls, the Campo and the district of San Martino, the Cathedral, the National Gallery and the districts also known as "terzo" di città, "terzo" di Camollia and San Domenico. Lunch with "pici" (a sort of big spaghetti), ‘pappa al pomodoro' (bread and tomato soup), homemade hams and salamis matched with the best local wines. In the afternoon, after visiting the city, transfer to Florence and accommodation.

 

4th  day  (BB/D)  - Florence
All day spent visiting Florence and its monuments during a one-day guided tour, which will include Piazza della Signoria and the Uffizi, S. Maria Novella, the district of S. Croce, the embankment, Piazzale Michelangelo for a great view of the cradle of Italian Renaissance. Free lunch. In the evening, after visiting the city, dinner with typical specialities in a hillside restaurant.


6th  day  (BB/D)  - Venice
Departure to Venice by bus (5 hours drive). On the way to Venice, stop at the Barberino di Mugello outlet where the most famous Italian brands are on sale all year round. Arrival in Venice. Transfer by boat to the hotel. Dinner in a close by restaurant.


7th  day  (BB/D)  - Venice
Tour of Saint Mark's district, the heart of Venice, the Museo Ducale, the famous Basilica, the ghetto. Typical dinner with fish dishes, seafood and tasting of local wines.


8th  day  (BB)  - Venice
Free day. It can be spent in a guided tour of the main museums and districts. 


9th  day  (BB/L/D)  - Venice/Burano/Torcello
All day is spent visiting the isles of Burano, a stop at the Lace School and San Francesco del Deserto, a secluded islet with a thirteenth-century Franciscan hermitage on it. Lunch at one of the most typical trattorias in Burano. In the afternoon, transfer to Torcello to see the Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta. Farewell dinner in Venice.


10th  day  (BB)  - Venice
End of tour and transfer to Venice airport.
